Recent site launches 80 sites were launched since the last meeting, bringing the total to 270 live sites in WordPress! A majority of these were mass migrated sites into the new IN platform, with only six sites remaining to finalize and launch Full list of live sites is available on the Web website: https://nau.edu/web/site-migration- scorecard/ If you or your site stewards have not been contacted by the web team on a remaining Ektron site, please let us know
Theme enhancements One Enterprise theme and one Marketing theme release in November: Updates to form styling and mobile navigation introduced New Contact Us page created and linked from global footer In.nau.edu homepage being designed Directory enhancements are scheduled to begin development in late December Theme feedback can be provided at: https://nau.edu/web/theme-design-feedback-form/
Directory enhancement preview Faculty photo and additional Bio and Interest elements to be pulled from approved fields in Faculty 180
Post Migration Please ensure all site stewards and editors are trained to current standards Training information: https://nau.edu/web/training/ Online self-guided trainings available: https://nau.edu/its/learn/wordpress-editor Site stewards and owners continue to review and revise their mass migrated pages This includes content updates, page consolidation, and remediation of old images and documents from Ektron sites. SiteImprove rollout will continue in December and January to facilitate process Academic workflow is being tested by University Marketing prior to initial implementation
Ektron decommission roadmap With the final mass migration sites going live, the Ektron platform will have a phase out period prior to being decommissioned Meeting next week with technical teams to finalize roadmap Working plan and timeline: Unused Dev and Test environments will be removed by end of December Traffic will be audited mid December to mid January to help identify missed content/redirects Access to Ektron production environment blocked by late January/early February Based on feedback proceed with final archive and decommission of Ektron by end of February
Other Notes Two planned outages occurred in November with no unexpected impact, none scheduled for December at this time Let us know of any feedback on the In.nau.edu FAQ at https://nau.edu/web/in-nau- edu-faq/ For those in colleges, please ensure that your Site Stewards and Owners relay any changes or service requests through the assigned University Marketing PM.
