  5. LEPC Internal Projects For this Year LMI Report Examines and compares usability of online job boards that include local content. Best Practices Report for Persons with Disabilities Titled Building Bridges, Breaking Barriers documents local best practices to help persons with disabilities achieve their full employment potential. Mentorship Guide Developing a mentorship guide for employers, employment training service providers and job seekers. Technology and Labour A research report that investigates the job losses and/or gains in the manufacturing industry due to advancements in technology. Information Database Leading the development of a database for information sharing amongst economic development and workforce development organizations. 5

  6. External Projects for This Year Agri-Food Report A report that investigates local strategies addressing employment issues, challenges, and opportunities in the agriculture/agri-food sector . LMI Project - MyHomeWorks Teaching Tool for Students, Teachers, and Parents Newcomer Research Report A research report that investigates local employment integration of newcomers. 6

Newcomer Employment Integration: Peterborough, Northumberland, Kawartha Lakes, and Haliburton Report prepared by Laridae Communications for the WDB/LEPC Completed March 31/18 Purpose: Newcomers and employers perspective on local workforce Provide locally relevant information to help inform the development of future programs and services Findings & Recommendations: Community Capacity & Connections; Programs & Services; Flexible & Focused Language Training; Eligibility for Services; Awareness & Communications; Data Collection 7

  8. Community Labour Market Plan 18/19 First report issued under the Local Employment Planning Council Pilot Includes updated 2016 Canadian Census data Additional input form over 200 community stakeholders (focus group, in- person consultations and surveys) 8
