Building A Safe Workplace: Preventing Workplace Violence Notes to the Trainer: Program length: Employee version (for all employees and supervisors) : 2 hours Supervisory session: 2 hours (stand alone); 4 hours when in conjunction with Employee version) Recommended group size: no more than 25 participants if possible; small groups can interact more. Pacing: The amount of information in this program could easily occupy more training time than allowed. Tailor your sessions to what is appropriate for your group. Video: Use the provided video as a point of reference as you go through the program, citing it to exemplify various bits of information. Evaluations: Be sure to collect participant evaluations at the end of each session. Send them to: Derrick Perkins United Behavioral Health, 100 East Penn Square, Ste. 400, Philadelphia, PA 19107. CD-ROM:Use the CD to make any necessary adaptations to meet your agency s needs. Certificates: Use the template for the certificate to print out and complete enough for each group.
