The Blitzkrieg Hitler creates a non- aggression pact with Joseph Stalin of the USSR September 1, 1939: Germany invades Poland starting WW II Germany then takes Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Belgium in 10 months. Finally France falls in June of 1940 Miracle at Dunkirk = daring rescue
