A trusted executor would carry out the details of the will Lesson 4 Chs. 4-5 Scene 2
The Lamb Book of Revelation The Lion of the tribe of Judah Judah is a lion's cub; from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He stooped down; he crouched as a lion and as a lioness; who dares rouse him? The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until tribute comes to him; and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples. (Gen. 49:9-10) Lesson 4 Chs. 4-5 The Lamb is a reference to the Passover lamb and to Isaiah s messianic prophecy: He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. (Isaiah 53:7) Scene 2
The Lamb Book of Revelation The Lamb has perfect power and wisdom (number 7) The 24 elders lead a new song that begins a worship sequence consisting of three hymns. Lesson 4 Chs. 4-5 Hymn 1: Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth. (Rev. 5:9-10) Scene 2
The Lamb Book of Revelation Hymn 2: Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing! (Rev. 5:12) Lesson 4 Chs. 4-5 Hymn 3: To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever! (Rev. 5:13) And the four living creatures said, Amen! and the elders fell down and worshiped. (Rev. 5:14) Scene 2
Summary Book of Revelation In chapters 4-5 we witness the fulfillment of OT prophecy and we see the glory of God and of the Lamb. The work of God in creation and in redemption are viewed as a unified whole. The response of all creation to seeing the divine plan unfold is God glorifying worship. Lesson 4 Chs. 4-5 Scene 2
