Let's recap... What is the purpose of a balanced argument? A balanced argument looks at different points of view on an issue, providing arguments for and against. It presents a balanced set of arguments without leaning one way or the other.
What is the purpose of a conclusion? Writing a good conclusion is an essential part of any text. It's the last idea that the reader is left with once they're finished reading, so you want to leave a good impression. The conclusion briefly restates the main points of the writing.
Let's go back to the WAGOLL When you are reading the WAGOLL I want you to think about these things: How is it structured? Can you find some vocabulary that it is specific to a conclusion? What punctuation do you notice? What VIPERS skill could we use to help us write a conclusion? It is called an Alan Peat bullet point summary!
