The children should have already brought home a colour band book, a Hempland sharing book and a new reading record. The colour band books have been matched to their reading level during our first few Year 1 reading sessions. Ebooks Children will have the book they have been reading in guided reading with their teacher assigned on Collins e-books. They will have read this book three times throughout the week, so can show it off to you at home! Children need to have their colour band reading book AND reading record in school every day. Reading record - Please write a comment in your child s reading record if your child reads anything. We will stamp their reading record books every Tuesday. We really want to encourage the children to read for pleasure, so if they read a book from home, please jot that down in their reading record too. Homework - Phonics homework, that aligns with our teaching, will be sent home every Monday. On the school website, there is an optional homework grid which children can access and complete. We d love to see what they produce please bring them in to share!
