Year 3 Home School Provision Day 38 The following slides will be split into 3 separate activities. Each slide will be daily activities for you and your child to do at home. Due to a partial reopening of NJS, Miss Watson is undertaking the alternative provision for Year 3. Daily Provision Pack Day 38 Maths: Objective: To find fractions of amounts using reasoning where necessary English: Art: Objective: To complete a still life drawing using different shading methods Objective: To creatively write a shape poem using different poetry techniques Pick a shape and write a shape poem. There are some examples on the following slides. Set up a still life for you to draw. It could be your favourite toy, a plant or tree in the garden, an ornate candle or a picture in a beautiful frame. Using different shading methods that we learnt at school, shade different areas of your drawing to make it like the example. Maths continued on following slide Examples on following slide
1 Star 3 Star 2 Star Pick a shape and write a poem trying to use many of the poetry technique from the examples below. Pick a shape and write short sentences about the shape. Pick a shape and write a poem trying to use the poetry technique of alterations. For example: Remember, we have used all of these techniques at school! For example; if my shape was a tennis ball I would write; Silver snow slides from the soft, snowy cloud The blue, breezy sky blankets the brown ground beneath. The ball, bright and green Bounces high above my head Round and furry like a dog
