  3. KEY TERMS Digital footprint The data that is left behind about someone when they have used the internet. Digital presence How you appear online this could be positive or negative, and based on what you (or others) post or share about yourself.

  4. KEY TERMS Active digital footprint Information you have deliberately shared about yourself online either through social media or websites. Passive digital footprint Data that is collected from your internet use without you knowing.

  5. PARIS BROWN Paris offensive tweets compromised a job opportunity. When she was 17, Paris was appointed the UK s first youth and police crime commissioner in Kent. However, soon after, offensive messages she posted on Twitter when she was 14-16 resurfaced. The tweets were considered racist and homophobic, and also mentioned drug use. She was investigated by police and there was national news coverage. Paris ended up resigning from her post following the criticism of her tweets.

  7. POSITIVE DIGITAL FOOTPRINT There are good things that can come from the internet you can create a positive digital footprint! American teenager, Devan Fink, started a blog about baseball when he was just 11 years old. He created it in memory of his grandfather who he shared a passion for baseball with. He wrote articles on his website about baseball games and used Twitter to connect with people who worked for Major League Baseball. He built a following and was featured in national newspapers and sports channels. He now has 21k followers on Twitter and writes for a professional sports website, while attending university.

The videos could be of you or text and images. 2 advantages and 2 disadvantages of 2 online/social media platforms Examples of positive and negative online behaviours Different posts with captions about each point. You could use the format of your favourite social media platform or design your own! Why it s important to behave appropriately online/the impacts if you behave negatively or inappropriately online
