Whats new? Rep Action Cards 4
Whats new? Action Cards - feedback Action cards are one of the new methods we re using to recognise rep successes and any areas were reps want our help on tasks. Some highlights we found from the cards include: Communicating across the school using interdisciplinary practice to help find solutions to issues and to highlight the positives of communicating within an entire school or across levels. Completing the feedback loop giving feedback to people who provided the initial issues/points of discussion. Providing more information on a reps role and helping reps and school staff understand the responsibilities (including tools like coursemate and speak week). Academic Society interest - promoting the ones that already exit and creating new ones to help students socialise and learn outside of a structured learning environment. Small changes can make a big difference no comment is too small to discuss! Thinking outside of your degree considering the benefits of employability talks and presenting career options. 5

How do students want to be represented? 7
How do students want to be represented? Representation for students abroad (specific reps that are oversees?) Having level 2 & 3 students mentor level 1 students as reps. Introduce visible action plans for students and reps to see what they re aiming to achieve. Better communication within the reps, school, SU, college etc. More/all reps attending relevant meetings to represent their cohorts. Having friendly faces around to talk with to represent students fairly and equally. Option for anonymity. Utilise social media platforms to gather a range of student feedback whilst considering what all students have access to. They want to be part of an integrated and welcoming community. Students want to know that their voices are heard and their feedback is actioned on. Promote coursemate and other like tools as well as promoting who the reps are. They want to know their voices are heard. 8
