Peewee/12U-Bantam/15U Parent meeting 10-9-2022
INTRODUCTIONS Hockey Director-Jason Gregoire The Hockey Director will act as the consultant on the youth hockey program and oversee direct Hockey operation of the MYHA program. The Hockey Director will act as the chairperson of the Hockey Committee that s purpose is to oversee the in-house and traveling hockey programs as specified by Minnesota Hockey rules Jason@moorheadyouthhockey.com
INTRODUCTIONS In-House Hockey Director-Sean Bertie Girls Coordinator-Kelsey Brovick Assist the Hockey director with Registration and placement of coaches In-house coaches' trainings and meetings Create in-house schedule and coordinate with the scheduler Facilitate team selection for all in-house teams Organize fall, mid-year, and year-end jamborees

FP3-JOEL FERRIE Joel-20thyear training players at MYHA Focus on teaching kids hard work and discipline Team sessions will be in different areas throughout rink Required part of team activities-same as on ice practice

Referee Try-it Program With the need for refs at an all time high we are working on a program to try and get more kids involved. 1. Kids will take an open book test 2. Ref 2 games with a mentor on the ice with them 3. Do 4 games on their own with a mentor critique 4. Get a certificate from us that will give them free registration to become a level 1 ref.
Clean the Rink Teams will rotate cleaning the rink after a practice or game. Clean the main public areas Take pride and ownership in the building. Clean the locker room after every practice. Leave it better than they found it.
PRACTICE AND GAME SCHEDULES 3 practices every week Some practices are combined, and some are solo 2-4 road tournaments and 1 home tournament Most teams play a district schedule Dryland with Joel is included All scheduling goes through Aaron Herdt

Please check here first before contacting us. We use Social media to build community and promote events/teams and players.
TRYOUT PROCESS Process -Peewee schedule on Thursday and Friday Stickers removed from helmets. Injuries/illness What can you do as a parent? Stay away, be positive, let them do it on their own. Team posting- October 16th MEA Week-OFF First Practice dates-Oct 24th/25th
Parent meetings-post tryouts 24 hours I will only have the meeting with the parent/guardian and the player present at the meeting We will only talk about your child I won t change my mind. Teams aren t final until December 31st.
