Childrens & Youth Church Training SUNDAY, JANUARY 14, 2018
Overview Youth Ministry is one of the most important ministries in the church in that it connects the entire family to the church. As we facilitate in the spiritual growth and develop of children and youth, we improve the overall health of the family unit. It is our Pastor s vision to have a thriving youth ministry that meets the needs our youth within our church and community.
Overview Continued Youth Ministry is one of the most challenging ministries by far; however, there is a strong need for consistent workers to devote their time and energy to the youth. Consistency is of great significance because so much of life is inconsistent these days.
Vision To enhance the spiritual lives of our youth so they can foster a deeper relationship with Christ. Ultimately, we want our youth to be effective agents of change within in our society.
Mission 3-Fold in Nature To transform the mindsets of young people THE LARGER PICTURE To BECOME disciples of Christ to SERVE their community and To SHARE their faith with others
Consider This If Jesus came to be served, our redemption could and would never have taken place. Likewise, our failure to live as servants throws up a huge barrier to effective ministry as representatives of Jesus Christ. ~ J. Hampton Keathley III
