  1. TRIAD Prevention Program Turning Children-At-Risk Into Youth of Promise

TRIAD Prevention Program A consortium of three county agencies (Protective Services for Children and Adults, Juvenile Probation and Mental Health/Mental Retardation Authority) working together to coordinate their resources to serve youth at risk. Provides countywide prevention and early intervention services to divert youth and families from involvement with the CPS, mental health and/or juvenile justice systems.

Intake Program Staffed by Harris County Protective Services for Children and Adults and Juvenile Probation officers 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week Providing crisis intervention, screening/assessment, short term counseling, information/referral and follow up services for youth identified due to Class C misdemeanors, status offenses, runaway or being otherwise at- risk juveniles.   6. JP Court Liaison Program Located in Justice of the Peace (JP) Courts throughout Harris County Youth and Families who appear before the JP Court for various Class C misdemeanor offenses Providing crisis intervention and sentence recommendations Collaborates with community and faith-based organizations, local school districts and other branches of the judicial system.

  7. JP Court Case Manager Program Provides ongoing case management services for court-ordered conditions to at- risk youth who have been referred by the Justice of the Peace Courts Conducts home and school visits Develops case plans and referrals Establishes and maintains working relationships with collateral agencies (such as schools and courts)

  8. Truancy Learning Camp (TLC) JP Courts refer youth and their parent/guardian who appeared for truancy offenses Camp consists of two eight-hour sessions on consecutive Saturdays Camps address issues that may contribute to excessive absences in school Funded by Harris County Community and Economic Development Department (CCEDD)

  9. STAR (Services to At Risk Youth) In collaboration with DePelchin Children s Center, STAR provides Family therapy and/or crisis clinic services at home or in the office; for issues of truancy, runaway or family conflict. Short term solution focused intervention In conjunction with numerous community agencies (CAPCA) provides universal prevention services 24 hour STAR referral line 713-664-3459 Funded by TDFPS PEI

TRIAD Mental Health MHMRA counselors provide free in-home, family based counseling and therapy to youth and families with serious mental health issues Goal is to maintain children and youth who are at risk for out of home placement in a family setting TRIAD Mental Health Referral 713-295- 2500

  11. Parenting with Love and Limits Parenting education program that integrates the principles of a structural family therapy approach into a comprehensive 6-week program Teaches parenting skills in a group setting. Provides individual coaching to show each family how to use the skills in day-to-day interactions Research based program Collaborative of Triad Mental Health, Triad STAR, Systems of Hope and Juvenile Probation

  12. Additional Mental Health Services Contracted mental health services providing psychological testing, psychiatric evaluation, office based and home based therapy and evidence-based trauma focused therapy Partnering with the Alliance (Community Resource Coordination Group-CRCG) as participants in the Harris County System of Hope. Access to residential treatment, respite services, mentoring services, wraparound services, referral to Waco Center for Youth and intensive in-home therapy Referral through TRIAD Worker

  13. TRIAD Prevention Program MISSION: To provide a continuum of quality services to the families and youth of Harris County so that they may reach their maximum potential.
