ArNaja Rogers Wyandotte High School Ar Naja Rogers is a Junior at Wyandotte High School and currently has a 4.417 GPA. Ar Naja is a member of the softball, the basketball, and volleyball team. AR 'Naja has been active in ThrYve for one year. As a youth leader, Ar Naja contributes to ThrYve in many ways. ThrYve Wyandotte facilitator, Adrian McConnell, said having Ar Naja as part of the program has been wonderful. Ar Naja s leadership skills are worth highlighting. She demonstrates our R.I.S.E principles and is a leader with her peers. Ar Naja is very thoughtful, and always shows dedication to teambuilding. Thomas Fowler Sumner Academy Thomas is a freshman at Sumner Academy of Arts & Science. TJ is an exceptional student who exhibits our RISE principles in and out of our after-school programming sessions. TJ comes to the classroom prepared and eager to learn and he stays engaged throughout each session. He showcases good sportsmanship during basketball games and great leadership amongst his peers. Thomas is an exceptional student with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0. His grades are impressive for a student engaged in many extra-curricular activities. Donna Guel Carl Bruce Middle School Donna Guel is an 8th grader at Carl Bruce Middle School and a proud member of the Jobs for Americans. Donna has been an active member of ThrYve since joining this summer. Donna, enjoys the exposure of new activities and getting the opportunity to meet new friends. Donna exhibits our RISE principles in and out of our summer programming sessions. Donna comes to ThrYve prepared and eager to learn and stays engaged throughout each meeting. She showcases her communication skills and care for others by translating for her peers that do not speak English. Donna characterizes the values of ThrYve and we are proud to announce her as our September Youth Spotlight.
