1. Peter filled with the Spirit speaks (Ac 4:8-10) Rulers realized they re unschooled, ordinary men Third time Peter was filled after their release: The other followers of Jesus were praying (Ac 4:29) Filled & preached the word of God boldly (v 30)
2. Peter Filled with the Spirit Important lessons about filled with the Spirit : Often linked to Prayer Can happen more than once May be accompanied by signs/tongues or not Leads to boldness, strength and powerful proclamation
3. Peter: Opposition & Failure Peter faced persecution, imprisonment, death Peter can also get things very wrong: When Jesus explains his mission Peter rebukes him He denied Jesus three times on night of crucifixion (That was Peter without the Spirit)

Peter: Opposition & Failure Peter still made mistakes and went wrong Paul opposed him to his face (Gal 2:11-14) He gave into pressure from Jewish believers He repented & went on to powerful ministry Encourages us to holy & faithful lives (1 Pe 2:11-12) He took Paul s correction to heart: We (Jew & Gentile) are new people of God (2:10)
Living It Picked up theme of victory from Revelation Saw how two ordinary Christians stood firm Looked at Peter being filled with the Spirit He struggled with sin and sometimes fell short God still used him in mighty ways.
Living It In the power of the Holy Spirit God changed the world He wants to do the same in our generation Through Prayer we seek the Spirit and receive power for bold living
