AB 705 Implementation at MJC Discontinued standardized placement test (Accuplacer), relying instead on high school GPA/last math course for placement or guided self placement in absence of high school data. Math 101 Mathematical Liberal Arts Programs Math 32 Created corequisite support classes for high traffic students pathways. AB705 vs. AB1705 AB 705 Placement must primarily rely on high school data (self-reported), students may repeat high school coursework. BSTEM transfer level placement require Algebra 2/Intermediate Algebra competency. Students must be placed into transfer level course work (BSTEM exception). Students can enroll in below transfer level courses, but cannot be placed (except for BSTEM exception). No guidance on BSTEM pathways, only placements. Non-credit remedial courses allowed.
