  7. Characteristics of Organization: Characteristics of Organization: Rules/regulation are well Defined. Division of work: Work should be divided among individuals and groups. Work specialization as the best way to use the human resources of the organization. He recommended that the work of all kinds must be divided and subdivided and allotted to various persons according to their expertise in a particular area. Authority & responsibility: Authority and responsibility are co-existing. Authority refers to the right to issue orders and extract obedience & Responsibility means obligation for the performance of the job assigned.   8. Cont. Discipline: According to Foyal, Discipline means sincerity, obedience, respect of authority and observance of rules and regulations of the enterprise. This principle applies that subordinate should respect their superiors and obey their orders. Unity of direction: The entire organization should be moving towards a common objective in a common direction.   9. Organizational hierarchical structure: It refers to the number of levels in the hierarchy from the ultimate authority to the lowest level in the organization. It should not be overstretched and consist of too-many levels. Every order, instructions, messages, requests, explanation etc. has to pass through scalar chain. Remuneration: The employee or staffs must be fully remunerated fully for their services rendered to the organization. The method of remuneration should be fair, reasonable and rewarding of efforts to everybody. Appropriate wages rates and their methods of payment reduces differences between employees and management and creates harmonious relationship and pleasing atmosphere of work.
