Highlights: Bounded higher-of methodology Bounded higher-of methodology will be used to determine load levels in the RTP case Start cases with updated RTP load levels will be shared with RPG for review and feedback If necessary, TDSPs are encouraged to submit requests for load updates including the rationale for changes 5 PUBLIC

  6. Bounded higher-of methodology (Conceptual) SSWG Loads calculated by Weather Zone Remove Self-served loads and any known differences Use ERCOT 90th (add self-served and other loads) WZ load from SSWG < ERCOT 90th Compare Weather zone load levels Y N ERCOT 90th percentile summer peak load forecast by weather zone Remove losses Use ERCOT 90th +X% (add self-served and other loads) WZ load from SSWG > ERCOT 90th + X% Y N Use SSWG loads (add Self Served, and other loads) 6 PUBLIC

  7. Load review process (Conceptual) Develop RTP start cases using the bounded higher-off load level RPG has a consensus on the X% bound on the RTP load levels Post preliminary RTP start cases for review Stakeholder review passed? RTP start case load levels finalized Y N ERCOT Planning to review the rationale and update RPG on any changes to load levels Stakeholder provides rationale for valid differences Rationale: Historic load growth Committed load additions Forecast methodology Past forecast performance Special circumstances Other?
