If money was no object, what would you do? Money would be nice, but it wasn t the real problem
There are some things that would help Better teacher to student ratio Teacher aides, good volunteers, 2ndteacher, etc. Money for good quality machines instead of just what we can afford A in-house repair man And a crew of I don t know maybe 32 custodians Or .
We can start earlier! Mirror Image The vision of Mirror Image is to become an engaging, innovative program by blending strong mentoring relationships with personalized opportunities while generating sustainable CTE interest in student lives.
Mirror Image A program that transports interested 7thand 8thgrade students from the middle school to the high school and has Junior and Senior students in their prospective CTE areas work with them and train them. Logistics Frequency Money Transportation Teacher expectancy and time Safety ROI
Core Benefits Meaning Students will find a niche or something they are good at . Immediacy Students are actively participating and buying-in or getting hooked on CTE through hands-on activititesand seeing a finished product. Relevance Students are introduced to carrers that are readily available to them specific to their geographic region.
Core Benefits cont. Relationships Students will form a bond with their mentors and instructors and will see the large picture of academic and career success. Optimism Student swill gain hope for their future by working with older mentor students who are ready to now enter the workforce or college. Realism Students will learn that they can choose a CTE program and continue on to college. It does not have to be either/or.
