Goals and Strategies for Years 1-3 1. Boost data-informed decision-making for equity and impact 2. Expand work-based learning in all regions, with a focus on equity 3. Grow dual enrollment in all regions, with a focus on equity 4. Understand and plan to address CTE teacher and faculty shortages 9
Strategizing for Regional Implementation Regional implementation convenings Resources and tools to support implementation, including state and regional implementation plans Outcomes metrics and benchmarks aligned to priorities in the state plan 11
Regional Implementation Convenings Goal is to convene a broad range of interest holders from each region, including K-12 and postsecondary education, private sector, workforce boards, and community-based organizations in order to: Support regional teams in planning for implementation and building on promising practices Support strategic alignment of activities and existing funding streams across sectors and institutions Build understanding and catalyze action on the California State Plan for Career and Technical Education Engage in peer learning, idea sharing, and knowledge exchange 12
Participating in a Regional Implementation Convening Complete a Letter of Interest and submit to ctesp2022@cde.ca.gov by 5 p.m. Pacific Time on May 4, 2023 Letter of Interest must include signature of at least one LEA superintendent and one community college president 13
