Youre a college student! Important info about your courses and grades 1. I am required to meet the same course requirements as college students; students subject to the CMC Student Code of Conduct. 2. My credits transfer with a grade of C- or better. 3. My courses and grades will appear on both high school and official college transcripts. 4. I can use some of the same college resources such as Accessibility services, tutoring, counseling and some of the onsite facilities at Kesner (upon request). 5. I am responsible for payment of books & additional course fees at time of registration. 6. My CMC schedule is located on MY CMC Basecamp, not my High School schedule.
EXPECTATIONS FOR COLLEGE CLASSES Self-advocacy: Support your ideas and interests. Take personal responsibility. You decide your success, not the instructor, or your parents. Instructor support: Your instructors are there for support and help. Reach out. USE THE SYLLABUS: Plan ahead - make time for homework and plan for assignments. Attendance Required Follow CMC Syllabus Attendance Requirements not SHS! Plagiarism is a serious offense. Refer to student handbook. Late assignments, test retakes, and paper rewrites are generally not accepted. Your instructor will provide you with their policies around these items. Disability Services - student driven; IEP/504 not automatically transferred to CMC. Check CMC email: Set up your account right away.

How do transfer credits work when taking a CMC class?
3 options The class you are taking meets a guaranteed transfer (GT) requirement. The class is accepted as an elective credit The college or university you are attending will not accept the course as transfer credit.*
Some things to keep in mind Always keep an electronic and paper copy of the syllabus and contact information for the professor. You may need this down the road if there is a discussion regarding whether a course will/will not be accepted as transfer credit. If a course is not accepted as a GT or elective at the college or university you are attending there is always room for discussion. CMC is a regionally accredited institution through the Higher Learning Commission with qualified faculty teaching within their disciplinary areas of expertise. If the college or university you are attending says that they won t accept a course (s) for transfer credit call or visit the Registrars office for further discussion regarding why. Your final grade in a course might be part of the discussion regarding whether the course will transfer or not. This is particularly true for more specialized majors or in situations where a course might double count for general education credit and credit towards your major.
