ABOUT MYSELF Graduated 36th out of 154 students from Westside High School, Clear Fork, West Virginia. 2016: Graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Development from Southern West Virginia Community & Technical College. 2018: Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Child Development & Family Studies from West Virginia University. 2020: Expected to graduate with a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from West Virginia University. Ms. Hale has experience with teaching English online, student teaching in a preschool classroom, & fundraising for local churches/non-profits.

  3. HOW TO FIND SCHOLARSHIPS Talk to your guidance counselor. Go on college visits. Join scholarship-searching websites that will match you with scholarships you re eligible for. Research, research, and research!

  4. HOW TO APPLY & STEPS BEFORE APPLYING Scholarship applications vary with each different organization, college/university, state, church, & other entities that offer them. Be on time with submitting applications; try to submit them early if possible. Go to your guidance counselor or teacher if you need help filling out a scholarship application. Build up your resume. Make good grades, take AP or dual enrollment classes if possible. Try taking SAT & ACT practice tests before taking the actual test during your junior/senior years of high school.

  5. SCHOLARSHIP TIMELINE The time to apply is NOW, seeing as how many scholarships are open to high school students planning to attend college/university. Some scholarships are open to ninth and tenth graders as well. There s no limit to the amount of scholarships you can apply for so apply for as many as you can.
