Research: Measures of Disability among Veterans Disability: Reporting yes to any of the six disability questions within the ACS: Hearing, Seeing, Cognitive, Ambulatory, Self Care, or Independent Living Difficulties Service Connected Disability (SCD): Participation in a program available from the VA that compensates for illnesses or injuries aggravated by service in the military 13 13 13 13
