  13. POLICY A definite course or method of action selected from among alternatives and in the light of given conditions to guide and, usually, to determine present and future decisions.

  14. POLICY Policy is not necessarily the same as law.

  15. POLICY Policies help guide decisions, while law implement rules, procedures, or standards.

  17. POLICY BRIEF A policy brief is an short evidence based document written for uninformed policy makers to either (1) give nuanced information about a problem (objective) or (2) propose a solution to a problem (advocacy)
