So you have an idea for a project? Good grant applications will clearly state: What is going to happen Why it needs to happen When it is going to happen Who will benefit How much it will cost How it is going to happen (the Plan)
Ready to start your application but not sure where to begin?
A Project You will be competing against other councils and you need to make a good argument for why your application should be approved.
A Plan There is no magic formula for successful grant applications All grant programs have guidelines: check eligibility Use the contact details listed in the application package Make a commitment Don t leave it to the last minute Remember to submit on time
Permission Grants are awarded to your council, not to you, so it is essential that you discuss your project idea with your manager or supervisor before you invest too much time working on a grant application
