  2. About Erasmus+ EU s flagship education programme - Student Mobility: Study or Traineeship - Staff Mobility: Teaching or Training - European co-operation among Higher Education Institutions 5 million students since 1987 Funded by European Commission, via the HEA

Partners across Europe (40+): Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, UK * Partners in Canada (GBC), Armenia, Russia + Ukraine STUDY EXCHANGES WHO? Students in year 2 or 3DY EXCHANGES 1 term / semester or full academic year Language of Tuition: English in most cases, but not always! ECTS (credits): 30 ECTS - 1 term | 60 ECTS - full academic year

  4. TRAINEESHIPS GRANTS Studies: 250 or 300 per month, depending on destination country WHO? Students in year 2 or 3 1 term or full academic year Min 2 months Max 12 months Traineeships: 370 or 420 per month, depending on the destination. The company may pay salary / contribution too. ECTS (credits): 30 ECTS - 1 term | 60 ECTS - full academic year ALSO: - Summer Traineeships - Recent Graduate Traineeships (within 1 year of finishing programme) * No ECTS awarded recorded on diploma supplement

Insurance - compulsory Your Finances Financial plan Keep SUSI grant / Social Welfare payments Apply for SAF and other SU funds Extra funding (approx. 100 per month) students with disability / medical condition / learning difficulty (back up documentation + disclosure required) _____________________________________________________ RESEARCH! (partners, countries, ) - Modules on offer. In what language? - Remember: Different way of teaching! - Accommodation. On campus? - Cost of Living, etc - Consider cheaper countries + avoid capital cities Next Steps Financial Plan: Talk at home about Erasmus
