  15. Practical Moderation 2020 NSC Retrospective exhibition (PAT) and Paper 2 moderation Face moderation of the PAT (Retrospective exhibition) and Paper 2 are essential. If possible it will be on-site to view the small retrospective exhibitions of learners (management and presentation) done by PED officials and/or appointed teachers. Contingency plan: to use electronic platforms to do moderation in a lockdown situation

  16. 4. Conclusion

  17. Conclusion IMPORTANT NOTES TO THE GRADE 12 ART TEACHER Start working with learners to prepare a photographic presentation of sourcebooks and artworks for each learner in the case of online moderation. A Power Point presentation would be sufficient and manageable for all teachers and schools. See that social distancing are followed at all times in the art class. This would include e.g. when cleaning equipment, using tools in certain disciplines, putting up exhibition, Paper 2 examination, etc. With the removal of the mid-year examination, a small test or written task/s is recommended in the second term as part of informal assessment. Refer to the Amended Visual Arts PAT 2020 document for all requirements, assessment rubrics, guidelines, etc.
