The Republic of Tunisia, Ministry of Communications Technologies & Digital Economy, presented the operational plan for 2021 focusing on broadband and wireless networks cybersecurity. Courses on cyber security, DNS security, and operational plan implementation results for 2020 were discussed in the online meeting held on December 10, 2020. Participants gained knowledge, skills, and awareness in various aspects of cyber security and network systems. The courses covered topics such as identifying cyber security components, risk management, security tools, different attack classes, incidents, and response timelines. Further, the training included DNS security concepts, configuration, troubleshooting, and 5G mobile networks advancements.

Understand the topologies and architectures of FTTx networks Discover the ways of connecting and splitting fibers in the field Consider loss budgets and contributors Learn about the latest advances in wave division multiplexing, and the fiber cables than can be used to support this. Understand fiber cable characteristics, and what can impact signal quality Take a look at cost exercises and compare different network architectures Infrastructure Solutions for Broadband Applications On-line training 150 22-28 February 2021 The main purpose of this training is to: Learn optical fiber communications basics Understand optical fiber networks Learn occupational safety requirements Understand the different types and standards related to optical fiber, such as: G651 to G657, OM 1, 2, 3, & 4 Understand how an optical fiber network is built up Practice cable preparation, color codes Use of different types of fiber splicing equipment including mechanical and fusion splicing techniques Practice network pre-test & basic post testing methods Certified Fiber Optical Technician Face to Face training 500 12 16 April 2021
