Student Learning Objectives Student will be able exchange basic communication in introduction (Nice to meet you/My name is/I am from/What s your name) in Japanese through listening. Students will be able to listen to basic introduction forms, peer to peer in the academic setting.
THE DEMONSTRATION The use of grammar is conversion Japanese in academic setting. This lesson will involve basic introduction vocabulary in the academic setting. Students will listen for details such as name, hometown, and major.

Basic Conversation In Japanese Pre listening A: Watashi-wa Rama desu. Namae-wa? B: Watashi-wa JP desu. Shusshin-wa? A: Watashi-no shusshin-wa detoroito desu. JP-san-wa? B: Watashi-no shussin-wa Tou-kyo desu. Senkou-wa? A: Watashi-no senkou-wa nihongo desu. JP--san-wa? B: Watashi-no senkou-wa dai-ni-gai-koku-go-kyou-ju-hou desu.
Listening to Details (Listening to the question and answer) Answer questions about the introduction in a Yes or No matter by raising hands. JP-san no shusshin wa Texas desuka? Yes / No Brooke-san no Senk wa kankokugo desuka? Yes / No Lamar-san no Senk wa gengogaku desuka? Yes/No
Meet Your Classmates (Note-taking) Introduce yourself to the class Listen for key vocabulary words to interpret the details (Name, major, hometown) Next lesson will cover introducing others. Kochira means place closest to the speaker. Example, kochira wa lisa-san desu.
