KENT CHILD CARE CRISIS RESPONSE TEAM ON MARCH 20, 2020 the Kent Child Care Crisis Response Team was formed in response to Governor Whitmer s COVID-19 Child Care Executive Order (2020-16) and the Stay at Home Executive Order (2020-21) that followed. First Steps Kent Update GSC Meeting 10.22.20
PURPOSE KENT CHILD CARE CRISIS RESPONSE TEAM Coordinate efforts and align activities in order to provide comprehensive service and support Kent County child care providers and Kent County families in need of child care. Kent County recently awarded First Steps Kent $450,000 in federal CARES Act dollars to assist licensed child care providers meet the needs of new health and safety requirements. Additionally, First Steps Kent will provide technical assistance support.
