Review: basics of photojournalism Photojournalism
You have 20 minutes to: Go online and find 2 photos. Each should clearly follow at least one composition rule. (Each photo does not have to demonstrate the same rule.) Print the photos. *
Take three photos from the pile. Do not choose with any purpose, just take them randomly.
With each of the three photos: 1. Decide if each photo is news or feature 2. Determine composition rules used in each and name them 3. Write a caption for each photo 4. Answer the question: how does the photographer composes the photo to also maximize the story behind the photo? If the photographer does not, why not?
Presentation time: 1. Pick the photo you like the best to show the class. 2. Read the caption you wrote. 3. Share the composition rule you picked, and why you think it applies to the photo.
