  2. May 2017 doc.: IEEE 802.11-17/0760r3 Abstract This submission proposes resolution on CID 9. CID 9 Page 100 Line 16 Comment Proposed Change Add A-PPDU structure details including the GIs, headers, etc like is provides for the single PPDU case in section 30.5.6.2.2 A-PPDU structures are missing detailed specification that can result in potential ambiguity in interpreting the standard Submission Slide 2 Takenori Sakamoto, Panasonic Corporation

  3. May 2017 doc.: IEEE 802.11-17/0760r3 Problem #1 Since only normal GI is specified in 11ad [1], the L-Header within the Nth PPDU within the DMG A-PPDU and the final data symbol block within the (N-1)th PPDU within the DNG A-PPDU can share the GI. On the other hand, 11ay supports short/normal/long GI [2]. The EDMG-Header-A shall be prepended by the normal GI. The data symbol blocks can be prepended by the short/normal/long GI. When using short/long GI, the EDMG-Header-A within the Nth PPDU and the final data symbol block within the (N-1)th PPDU can not share the GI because of no cyclicity as shown below. 4. May 2017 doc.: IEEE 802.11-17/0760r3 Proposal Not only the final symbol block within the last PPDU within the EDMG SC A-PPDU but also the final symbol block of the all PPDUs within the EDMG SC A-PPDU shall be followed by the same GI regardless on the value of the Additional EDMG PPDU field within the corresponding EDMG-Header-A. 5. May 2017 doc.: IEEE 802.11-17/0760r3 Problem #2 The PPDU structure for the jth PPDU (1 j N) within the EDMG SC A-PPDU is different from any other type of SU PPDU structures specified in [2]. The non-EDMG portion, the EDMG-STF and the EDMG-CEF shall not be transmitted in the jth PPDU (1 j N). We need to specify new PPDU structure for the jth PPDU (1 j N) within the EDMG SC A-PPDU. Submission Slide 5 Takenori Sakamoto, Panasonic Corporation

  6. May 2017 doc.: IEEE 802.11-17/0760r3 Proposal For j = 0: The 1st PPDU structure shall be the same as the SU PPDU structures specified in [2]. For 1 j N: The similar PPDU structure of the MU PPDU specified in [2] can be applied to the jth PPDU within the EDMG A-PPDU. The only difference is that not EDMG-Header-B but EDMG-Header-A is transmitted. The EDMG-Header-A and the 1st data block are prepended by GIei64*NCB when the short GI or normal GI is used. The EDMG-Header-A is prepended by GIei128*NCB[1:64*NCB] and the 1st data block is prepended by GIei128*NCB when the long GI is used. 7. May 2017 doc.: IEEE 802.11-17/0760r3 Conclusion We propose PPDU structure for the EDMG A-PPDU. The final block of all PPDUs within the EDMG SC A-PPDU shall be followed by the same GI as data field. The similar PPDU structure to the MU PPDU structure is applied to the jth PPDU (1 j N) within the EDMG SC A-PPDU. Submission Slide 7 Takenori Sakamoto, Panasonic Corporation
