  2. 2 American Samoa National Statistics Office Statistics Development Progress in 2024 2022 Economic Census results released in June 2024 2023 Agriculture Census wrapped up field enumeration and office operations in June 2024 Statistical Strategy Plan sought assistance from SPC to move this project forward 2023 Statistical Yearbook ongoing; release before the end of 2024 2024 Master Address File mapping operation for the 2025 HIES began in October 2025 HIES draft proposal for funding

  3. 3 American Samoa National Statistics Office Work Plan 2025 High Priorities: 2023 Agriculture Census census report available in April 2025 2024 Master Address File complete fieldwork by March 2025 2025 HIES submit proposal and secure funding from DOI; conduct HIES in April 2025 Statistical Strategy Plan collaborate with SPC to complete this project

  4. 4 Niue National Statistics Office Statistics Development Progress in 2024 Business Establishment Census (BEC) supported by ADB, including consultant on-island for at least 3 months. Aim to create a Niue Business Register and then continue with other economic stats initiatives STEPS taking place in June 2024 (led by Health with NSO) Stats NZ resident adviser recruitment underway. Aim to start June. Will focus on NSDS Administrative data workshops with agencies to strengthen data and collaborate/join up more. Establishing Government Finance Statistics (GFS) Budget developed for this year

  5. 5 RMI National Statistics Office Statistics Development Progress in 2024 Goals achieved in 2024: Census 2021 finalized and report published on EPPSO website CPI index series updated indexes from weights derived from the 2019 HIES; adopted the international classification COICOP Goals not achieved in 2024: HIES follow-up survey funding not available Statistical Yearbook still ongoing with data collection MICS Survey funding not available

  6. 6 RMI National Statistics Office 2025 Work Plan Diaspore and migration survey for the Marshallese residing in the U.S. Post COVID-HIES welfare Plan to conduct MICS survey VNR (Voluntary National Review) first round was conducted in 2021; the next one will be conducted in July 2025 RMI s first M&E framework for the National Plan is almost complete

  7. 7 Tokelau National Statistics Office Statistics Development Progress in 2024 and 2025 Work Plan Goals achieved: GDP results review completed and results published CPI ensure accurate and timely dissemination of quarterly reports 2022 Tokelau Population and Housing Census results; General Fono review finalized Planning phase: Tokelau National Strategy for the Development of Statistics, 2019-2023 review Tokelau Statistical Rules 2013 review and amend MICS-DHS survey Disability Survey work in collaboration with key partners; work on hold

  10. 10 American Samoa Statistics Office Priorities and workplan, 2024 Acting Chief Statistician Ms Mine, manning the Statistics Office following former Chief Statistician s short notice departure in February Mr. Uili Leauanae (Deputy Director) currently supporting Mine and the Statistics Office Two High Priorities Agriculture Census field enumeration was completed on June 1, 2024. Supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Agriculture Statistics Service (USDA-NASS) American Samoa 2025 HIES; may require SPC technical support

Annual Statistical Yearbook (ASYB)- 2018 ASYB seek UNDP support SPC GIS support, if the Census workshop could be followed by GIS

  13. 13 Tokelau National Statistics Office Priorities and 2024 Plans Tokelau all workplans on hold awaiting the appointment of the new Chief Statistician. Current Priorities in progress: Disability Survey 2024- Preparing questionnaire MICS 2025-Preparing questionnaire this year for next year IMTS-Trial project using partner data from Samoa Appointment of the new Chief Statistician Review of Census results completed in 2022 requested by Tokelau Fono with a report due to the next Fono meeting in July 2024
