P.R.E.P. STAFF PREP Program is a unique program that is staffed with an early childhood development teacher, special education teacher, and two instructional aides, that work in collaboration with a speech and language pathologist, adapted physical education teacher, and an occupational therapist. It is designed to promote success in language, pre-academics, and social development for all preschool students. CHRISTINA HERRERA SPECIAL ACADEMIC INSTRUCTOR. SERVICE PROVIDERS Student services are on are held in small pull out groups or push in services on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Adapted Physical Education and Occupational Therapy are on campus and on Wednesday s and Thursday. Physical therapy is currently virtual only.

CLASSROOM AND OUTDOOR MATERIALS Classroom Outside Playground is closed All students will have their own learning tools such as: pencils, crayons, glue,markers, and scissors all stored in Ziploc bags labeled with their names. Assigned bikes Own bubbles with bubble wands Large paint brushes (donations needed) Sensory tubes/playdough chalk pieces each child will have 6 large chalk pieces stored in individual Ziploc bags. HWT workbook and mat man pieces IEP goal bags Send your child in comfortable athletic shoes daily. We will be doing plenty of hikes and running out in the big field. Enrichment trays. Assigned seating Materials will be stored in student cubbies and will be sanitized daily.
DROPPING OFF AND PICKING UP IS IN FRONT OF THE BLACK GATES Please be on time. We will only be outside for 3 minutes before each session start time and 5 minutes after dismissal time. After those times you will need to go through the front office. All Students need to be sign in and sign out. Please carry your ID with you when picking up your child. Staff may ask to see ID to verify pickups. Children will only be released to a person who is listed on student's emergency card. Check with office to see who you have listed as alternative pick up. We will not accept verbal notice or written notice that there will be an alternative pick up.
COMMUNICATION A written weekly communication form will be sent out weekly. Class DOJO. Emails Christina_Herrea@chino.k12.ca.us and Mayra_Montanez@chino.k12.ca.us Monthly Newsletters For immediate assistants, Please call the classroom. We get busy playing with your little one, that we are not able to check Class DOJO or e-mails while in session with your child.
BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL DO A WELLNESS CHECK. (PLEASE KEEP YOUR CHILD AT HOME IF THEY HAVE ONE OF THE SYMPTOMS LISTED BELOW.) Do they have a fever Fever or Chills Cough Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing Fatigue(eg. difficulty getting out of bed, extreme tiredness) Muscle or body aches Headache New loss of taste or smell Sore throat Congestion or runny nose Nausea and vomiting Diarrhea
MASK ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS WHILE INDOORS. To minimize the spread of COVID 19 we are highly encouraging the children to wear a mask or face shield, When in doors. We will always have your child's comfort level in mind, Please message us individually if you feel that your child may have some difficulties wearing a mask.
