Conclusion Insider - outsider positionality researcher in different cultural area helped me to make sense of how community experience during and pre-earthquake (stated as lini in local language). The community empowerment through gotong royong become spirit and values in this multi-hazard seismic preparedness. The gotong royong is a psychological space that transcends both space and time. It is a place where community members can contribute to the spirit and efforts of unlimited collective cooperation, leading to the sharping (silih asah), loving (silih asih), and nourishing (silih asuh) of one another in multi-hazard seismic preparedness.
