  2. Dr. Dino Mujkic has over 22 years working in International Projects in Western Balkan Countries in South Eastern Europe and Eastern Europe countries. He holds a track record of more than 70 capacity building projects, funded by Austrian Development Agency, European Union, private foundation, companies, ministries and others, implemented in close cooperation with govermantal instituions, NGOs and other main stakeholders. His key skills lie in policy and strategy development, Curricula Development, institutional and capacity building, research, consulting , internal and external evaluation processes, development of method principles and instruments in the field of Higher Education, Sport, Culture and NGO Development. Dino Mujkic earned a PhD in Education and Sport and is currently Vice Dean for International Relations and teaching at the Sport Mangement deepartment, University of Sarajevo, covering courses such as Strategies in Sport, Style of Management, Mission and Values in Sport, Management in Sport Recreation, Globalisation, Human Resource Management.   3. Why is it important to promote the enhancement of cultural heritage of European countries through sport? SPORT MEETING OF CULTURES

  4. Sport is the key tool for promoting cultural exchanges since it is a universal element across cultures. The White Paper on Sport2states that the role sport and physical activity is to gather people together, to overcome social barriers (such as language, race, nationality, gender, age, socio-cultural or political situation), to promote education, socialization, inclusion, tolerance, participation and intercultural dialogue. These aspects are particularly important since they help reducing prejudices and stereotypes that often turn into discrimination.

  5. The importance of culture in sport becomes particularly true for Olympic games, with its own Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission3, whose responsibilities, for instance, concern the facilitation of synergies between the various cultural platforms and communities within the Olympic Movement. Their activities relate to promote the Olympic ideals, especially among young people all over the world.

  6. Improving sport managers team-leading and team-building capacities, with the aim of fostering social exchanges among people from different cultures, trough appropriate education to sport manager and youths; Promoting cultural exchanges and new realities using sport, physical activity, non-formal and informal education as tools; Providing an affordable measure about which competencies will determine a proper integration of cultures; Education of intercultural dialogue, sense of community, and participation through sport competencies; Promoting international networking among countries and sharing good practices valid in different cultures;
