Requirements Student HB 2610 requires 75,600 minutes of instruction, including intermissions and recess Waivers for additional professional development and early release Teacher 187 Contract Days for Teachers 175 Instructional Days for Students 7 Professional Development / Staff Development Days 4 Teacher Preparation Days 1 Parent Conference Credit (Attendance for two days / evenings) 3
Professional/Staff Development Teachers will complete two days of districtwide professional development prior to the start of school Opportunities offered during the summer If training is not completed during the summer, teachers will report August 10 and 11 to a central location for professional development. Verification of completed PD will be provided. Campus based staff development days and teacher preparation days will be August 12 19: Four days of staff development Two days for teacher preparation days Additional professional development is scheduled for February 20, 2017. 4
