REAL ID Deadline Extended Due to circumstances resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and the national emergency declaration, the Department of Homeland Security is extending the REAL ID enforcement deadline by a year. The new deadline for REAL ID enforcement is October 1, 2021. 2
IS YOUR ID READY TO FLY? Effective October 1, 2021 TSA will begin requiring either a REAL ID or a passport to board a domestic aircraft for those 18 and older. Those who do not have either a REAL ID or passport will be denied boarding. 3
Is my ID compliant? Compliant licenses have a star in the upper right- hand corner. Non- compliant licenses have the verbiage "Not for federal purposes" in the upper right corner. Compliant Non-Compliant 4
Real ID FAQs How much does it cost? Customers whose current driver license or ID will not expire before October 1, 2021, may obtain a REAL ID compliant card for $14 (the cost of a duplicate driver license), or $16 for a duplicate ID card. Is this a reimbursable expense? No, the cost of a duplicate ID, or the cost to renew your drivers license is not reimbursable. 5
