The Protocol of Reconciliation & Grace Through Separation involved Bishop Yambasu and Central Conference bishops convening a diverse group from the UMC in Chicago in July 2019. Members represented Progressives, Traditionalists, and Centrists with various perspectives. The mediation process, facilitated by Kenneth Feinberg, brought together individuals from different backgrounds to navigate discussions and seek a path forward. This collaborative effort was driven by volunteers and emphasized reconciliation with grace.
