Regional Harmonisation in Africa: Lessons and Relevance of PAQAC
Lessons learnt from the experience of the East African Community (EAC) in regional harmonisation efforts, particularly focusing on the Pan African Quality Assurance and Accreditation Framework (PAQAC). The transformation of the Inter University Council (IUC) into the Inter University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) and the implementation of the Harmonisation of African Higher Education Area (HAQAA) initiative are also discussed. The content explores the development of quality education in Africa through regional action plans and the establishment of quality culture in the EAC.
