Whats your strategy? 24 SCWI/IJECT
Registration Question We are new to Level 1 DC and we are trying to figure out how to time it right to have 4 credit co-op during second semester for students instead of guessing how many students we'll have interested. 25 SCWI/IJECT

Which SCWI Activities are available to your students? Which other opportunities are available? What is the follow up? 26 SCWI/IJECT

How do we help students who know where they want to go to plan their secondary school timetables What do you have to offer to help students develop their individual pathways (inside and outside of school) 27 SCWI/IJECT

Employer Engagement Finding employers It can be difficult to find the right placement for students Lack of opportunities without a name of someone potential apprentice knows Some employers say that high school students are not ready for their level one and would not put someone through that until they got to work for them for at least a year. 34 SCWI/IJECT

Challenges Among the most compelling of our findings are those related to apprenticeship completion rates. The rates are low, ranging from 54% to 67% among the major trade types. These findings raise questions about why some apprentices do not to complete their training. Do some apprentices leave a program because they find a related job or because the challenges are too great? Chatoor, K. & Kaufman, A.
