  1. Industry 4.0 Hackathon Team Name: HackatEat! Team Members: 1. Gabriel Yosua Rantung 2. Jason Theodore 3. Muhammad Ali Sadiq

  2. Goal To help people determine the right amount of food intake per meal to avoid undernutrition and overnutrition by using data analytics with IoT and machine learning Industry 4.0 Hackathon

  3. Objectives To help people to decide food intake at the time they eat To fulfil their calorie needs to avoid undernutrition that can lead to malnutrition and overnutritionthat can lead to obesity To help people how much should they eat per meal. Industry 4.0 Hackathon

  4. Background Food is a very important substance for living as food provides nutrition for organism to live, specifically for human. Eating too much calories and not burning enough amount of it through activities can lead to weight gain as the body will store the excess calories as fat Meanwhile, inadequate food intake per day and inadequate diet causes undernutrition whereby the normal nutritional recommendations and guidelines are not met The imbalance between calories consumed and calories expended are the fundamental cause of unhealthy diets. Industry 4.0 Hackathon

  5. Background The food availability and stock must fulfill the food requirements of the population. One of the way is to reduce the waste of food. Smart Eat project aims to help people to get the optimum nutrients required for their body using smart food sensor and smartphone-based artificial intelligence. Smart Eat could also help to reduce the waste of food as it tells the user how much food the user should take into their plate using machine learning and Internet of Things (IoT). Industry 4.0 Hackathon

  6. Problem statement The needs of healthy life are increasing day over day. But there are main problems that people do not know how to track the nutrition inside the food. There are several applications on smart phone that give solution on it. But the application do not show the precision of how much people eat the food. So, a new improvisation is created. The food sensor application that shows more accurate nutrition facts and calories data from the specific food. Industry 4.0 Hackathon

  7. Proposed Solution (Advantages) Helps people to make better decisions during their meal Simplicity of use Reduced waste of food Higher accuracy Peace of mind Better life quality Industry 4.0 Hackathon

  8. Proposed Solution Put the food by the size of the spoon Camera Video captures and scans The food is analyzed by Smart Eat The image processes The apps tells the quantity of the food they should eat Industry 4.0 Hackathon

  9. Proposed Solution (Sub Systems) 1. Sensor Analysis Tellspec 2. Camera Analysis GUI 3. Big Data Programming Language 4. Internet of Things Food sensor using camera analysis 5. Personalization Optional choice by consumer Industry 4.0 Hackathon

  10. Summary Smart Eat is the application invented to solve all of the problems that people usually faces, to make a healthier life style. Smart Eat is used to track the food nutrition facts more accurate, efficient and with the more complete specifications. Smart Eat is the application with capturing the spoon of food by using video camera analysis and then the data is processed to give the complete nutritional facts using smart phone application.
