UN Habitat: Tools to Support Participatory Urban Decision Making This toolkit is a contribution to the Global Campaign on Urban Governance, an initiative led by UN-Habitat in collaboration with a whole range of partners whose development goal is to contribute to the eradication of poverty through improved urban governance. Each of the individual tools is presented in Chapter 2 (Page 18), and each tool description is structured according to the following sub-headings: An overview of the tool: its definition and context within the participatory urban development decision making framework; The primary purpose(s) of the tool; Principles; How it works - the key elements; Linkages with urban governance norms; and City examples of its application.
