  2. WHATSIGNIFICANCE DOESSCRIPTURAL AUTHORITYHOLDIN (TO) A MORALLY RELATIVISTIC WORLD?

  3. The Inspired Word of God God is the creator of ALL things. His word is absolute truth and is intended so that we may know that we can have eternal life with Him. We can be sure that the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit and is so much more than an interesting accumulation of morality plays. We Need to KNOW scripture We must be fair minded and willing to search the scriptures daily to see that we are being taught truth (Acts 17, the Bereans).

Historical Context of the Bibles Inspiration Written over 1600 years (from about 1500BC to about 100AD) 40 authors 3 languages (Hebrew, Aramaic, & Greek) Genesis 4 / Exodus 28 & 35 proclaim that God gave mankind knowledge and ability to do scientifically complex and artistically creative things.

  5. Historical Context of the Bibles Inspiration Approximately 6,300 manuscripts of all or portions of the Hebrew OT More than 5,750 Greek NT manuscripts More than 10,000 Latin manuscripts More than 100 papyri manuscripts, some of which date back as far as the 3rd century BC

We have substantial and reliable information to believe that the Bible is God s Word We can see the hand of God work in the preservation of his word No book has more supporting evidence of its constancy and authenticity No book has been studied and dissected more than the Bible 2,000 years after its completion, we have exactly the same book that people of the late 1st and early 2nd century received upon the completion of Revelation by the Apostle John
