MSC MSC MSC sht p rgjegj s p r kryerjen e funksioneve si n vijim: * B n orientimin e thirrjeve n ardhje dhe n shkuarje * B n lidhjen t gjitha MSC-ve n t njejtin rrjet mobil dhe b n lidhjen me rrjetete tjera mobile ose rrjetat fikse. * B n monitorimin dhe kontrollimin e thirrjeve * sht p rgjegj se p r orientimin e sinjaleve deri tek regjistrat apo bazat e t dh nave. Me q llim t monitorimit, rutimit dhe kontrollimit t thirrjeve telefonike mobile n rrjetin GSM, jan t nevojsh m disa regjistra t lidhur n MSC.
VLR-(Visitor Location Register) Regjistri i parapaguesve t p rkohsh m mysafir -(Visitor Location Register)- N k t regjist r regjistrohet p rkoh sisht parapaguesi i cili sht zhvendosur nga zona ku sht i regjistruar n m nyr t p rhershme. VLR zakonisht ndodhet n MSC, por sht nj nj si funksionale n vehte. sht i dizajnuar si nj fajll dinamik i p rdoruesve me p rgjegj si q i dedikohen zonave t caktuara gjeografike. VLR-ja i merr t dh nat e t gjith p rdoruesve t rrjetit GSM dhe sht gjithmon mir e informuar p r vendndodhjen e tyre.
HLR-(Home Location Register) do parapagues mobil sht i regjistruar n m nyr t p rhershme n regjistrin e vet HLR. HLR ruan t gjitha t dh nat e pandryshueshme t parapaguesve vendas n zon n e sh rbimit t NSS- s; t dh nat q nevoiten p r sigurimin e sh rbimeve t telekomunikacineve. P rve t dh nave fikse, HLR ruan informacionet e vendndodhjes s parapaguesit, p r t mund suar vendosjen e lidhjes p r thirrjet ardh se.
