  1. Year 3 Home School Provision Day 37 The following slides will be split into 3 separate activities. Each slide will be daily activities for you and your child to do at home. Due to a partial reopening of NJS, Miss Watson is undertaking the alternative provision for Year 3.   2. Daily Provision Pack Day 37 Maths: Objective: To find fractions of amounts. English: Science Objective: To sequence the growth of a plant. Objective: To write an acrostic poem. Using one of our school values complete an acrostic poem. Compassion, Courage or Community. All of our values are so important at the minute, so lets get talking about them! Different ability work and examples are on the following slides. Using the pictures and statements above (also on the following slides easier to see), children are to copy out (both the statements and pictures) in the correct order. Decorate your piece of work and email it to me! It would be lovely to print and make a display for when we return to school. Maths continued on next slide.   4. English continued 1 Star: 2 Star: 3 Star: Make your acrostic poem more descriptive. Think about different clauses and how you can make your sentences more interesting. Use commas and noun phrases. For example; Courage could be, Communicating bravery, in actions and words Others will follow, be a leader of the truth Understanding how to be strong, resilient and brave Write your acrostic poem using short sentences and statements. These sentences and statements should make sense by themselves. Try to use adjectives. For example; Compassion could be, Compassion should be shown to all Offer and support your friends Make a good choice Use adjectives to describe the value you have picked. For example, Community you might start with Coming together Others are with you. Don t forget to decorate and make your piece of creative poetry beautiful!   5. Science continued Copy out the statements and pictures in the correct order. You may choose to set your page out as below or you might be more creative! Think about the order of the flower growing, what does it need?
