  2. Athletics 111 Received GEC approval on 10/28/15 Omnibus Form Provides for the physical activity and the consequences of healthy decision-making as required for Goal 9 courses. MyCore Student Learning Outcomes

  3. Athletics 111 Upon successful completion of Athletics 111, student- athletes achieve the following Student Learning Outcomes: Demonstrate an increase in endurance strength, and speed as appropriate to their sport. Differentiate between healthy and not healthy choices in relation to the topic of the semester. Establish and maintain relationships of trust and support with teammates and coaches; encourage teammates. Master Syllabus

  4. Athletics 111 Athletics 111 will be taught by a member of the athletics faculty. Coaches will complete the evaluative tool. Evaluative tool The Associate Athletics Director (faculty member of record) will assign the pass or fail grade. Note: The Associate Athletics Director s job description will be altered to include this job responsibility.

  5. Athletics 111 Participation on a Varsity Athletics team is not unlike the following participation-based courses, which also carry academic credit: Music 106 Maroon & Gold Band Music 107 University and Community Orchestra INSTUDY 108 Forensics Practicum

  6. Athletics 111 Athletics 111 is not dissimilar to the following 1 credit exercise science courses in their scope and that they achieve student learning outcomes: EXERSCI 226 Jogging and Walking EXERSCI 230 Weight Training Thus, it is appropriate for Athletics 111 (which has Student Learning Outcomes and GEC approval) to carry 1 unit of academic credit.
