Apprenticeships offer valuable work experience and qualifications that employers prioritize when hiring new candidates. This form of training involves full-time employment with educational components, providing hands-on learning and industry expertise. Apprentices are paid during their training, with different levels of apprenticeships offering qualifications equivalent to GCSEs and A Levels. Consider the advantages an apprenticeship can offer in terms of education and financial savings compared to traditional full-time study.

  1. 5 Tips for Selling Booths & Productive Lounge

  2. Know our product. Inside and out. Are you prepared? Push our CEU course on booth design-Establish yourself and THE preferred vendor We have a running line that is fully customized. Not everyone does. i. We will make templates Not everyone does. ii. We build to a fraction of an inch Most Contract Manufacturers build in 6 inch increments. Key features of what makes our booth/Productive Lounge special. i. Suspension system ii. Frame construction. iii. Foam iv. Quality of the tailoring Packaging is a big cost. If you have a local booth shop or millwork, they may not be using anything, but some shrink wrap. In some cases, if we are shipping direct the job site, we can use less packing to save money and be more environmentally friendly. We would never do this if it risked the product. Of course, we have competition and some very good competitors at that. But most of the calls that come into my office are asking about vendors that most people have never heard of. Sell the value of being proven in the category. Ask about tables and be sure they are going to fit

  3. Understand the scope of work and expectations. Get the quote right up front. We are often compared to a company that is not making the same product as we are. Restaurant grade booths are generally not as nice as we build. We are focused on the contract trade, which is why our prices for mom-and-pop restaurants are usually too high. Modular seating has a place in the market, but it is not the same as a booth or productive lounge. We have modular for where that is the best option. Did we quote the right fabric or a generic grade? Is there enough lead time?

  4. Know your installed base. Pointing to local jobs hits home with your clients. Which design firms are specifying Falcon in your market? Nationally we have booths everywhere and they can be experienced in Corporate amenity spaces, on Campus, Stadiums, Hotels, Clubs, and other fine dining applications.

  5. Play offense. Upholstered furniture has a lot of secrets below the fabric. It is hard to know on any given job, especially when it is custom what the vendor is doing. Our specs are standard, and we use them on every job. Others may adjust foam density, spring gauge or even plywood quality to meet a price. Promote what we do and sow seeds of doubt regarding the competitor. Knowing too much may just legitimize them in the eyes of your client. Our brand name should mean something. It means there is a warranty on the workmanship, Liability insurance to protect the dealer and a track record of doing the right thing. We can show people booths installed for 10-15 + years can the other guys.

  6. Follow up! Often the specs get written, and a GC is awarded the job. You need to follow the spec all the way to an order so there are no surprises. Manage the drawing process and field dimensions as it helps you build credibility
