Central Bucks 7th Grade Specials Course Information
Central Bucks 7th Grade offers a variety of specials, including Art, Integrated Technology, Innovation and Creativity, PE, Music, and FCS. Students can choose one music class in Performance (Choir, Band, Orchestra) or an Exploratory music class. Sample schedules illustrate how core subjects like Math and Science fit alongside specials. Note that not all specials are available in 7th grade, as some will continue into 8th grade. Please refer to the provided examples for a better understanding of how the schedule might look.

Side Notes? If a student is interested in participating in instrumental AND vocal music, the student should register for the band or orchestra class first and the teacher should put a note about choir. Because of music staffing schedules, there can be NO GUARANTEES that any student will be able to be involved in more than one performing music class during the school day. If a student is involved in more than one music performing class, the amount of participation in each class will be determined by the music teachers, based on the musical needs of the class and of the student (This does not mean a 50-50-split between classes). The student will receive a grade only in the instrumental music class.
What is Next? There will be a middle school meeting for parents on February 20thor February 27th (depending on school), 2024. Your parents should have or will receive an email about this presentation. Your course selection forms will be posted on Parent Portal around March 7, 2024, for you to view and accept.
