  13. Proposal Example College faculty who teach dual credit courses will join the secondary school dual credit teachers as well as RPT members for a session of dialogue aimed at increasing high school student interest and success in dual credit projects. Topics will include supporting special needs students, interventions and accommodations, assessment evaluation, and the role of the dual credit teachers. Pre-forum meetings will be held in order to bring together teachers and students involved in RPT dual credits to gather feedback on what we are doing well and where areas of improvement are needed. Discussions regarding specific programs will help in ensuring that we are offering effective program opportunities. A strong relationship between college faculty and the dedicated teachers is critical to the success of students taking dual credits. This forum will facilitate the discussion of common experiences and observations, how to support students throughout the courses and when and how to intervene when they show signs of struggle. The goal is to build a common understanding of the value and importance of dual credits and the need to be proactive to foster increased student success. 13 SCWI/IJECT

  14. Articulated Goals The goal is to build a common understanding of the value and importance of dual credits and the need to be proactive to foster increased student success. foster co-operation between the educators By being more knowledgeable about the college system, including curriculum delivery, assessment and evaluation, and supports, teachers will be better able to help students develop the learning and executive skills that will help them transition to college or apprenticeship. We want to foster a sense of community with this event and create open opportunities for brainstorming and collaboration to share best practices. 14 SCWI/IJECT
